Thousands of wedding photos hidden away in hard disks covered in dust and stored who knows where. Galleries on Facebook titled “wedding pics” and those few Instagram posts.
Our wedding pictures are scattered across many digital properties and devices. They are always there. A click away. And yet, a printed wedding album that sits on your coffee table is always available and is a wonderful window into a beautiful time in your life.

We love well put together wedding albums and yes the design of the wedding album does matter. It could be a light coffee table book with less that 20 sheets or the heavy traditional Indian wedding album designed to occupy an entire dining table.
Our clients have come back to us many years after their wedding and have told us how a physical wedding album makes their memories so accessible.
If you’ve every thought - Should I get a wedding album? We’ve compiled a short list of reasons you should get a physical, printed wedding album for your wedding photos.
The act of wedding album design forces curation. You are compelled to select the best photos and those that mean a lot more to you.
You end up creating a compilation of pictures that reflect the people and the moments that mattered. This also reduces the fatigue of going through thousands of wedding photos on a digital screen.
Going through photo albums is a great way to spend time with family and relieving some nostalgic moments.
Sitting down along with your spouse and your family members on a cosy winter morning, and viewing the photographs in the album, is time well spent.
Everyone can recollect the wedding day and you’ll be surprised at the loving conversations this will spark.
Imagine yourself cleaning your cupboard; and you come across this stack of photo albums from long ago.
You dust them off and go on a journey down the memory lane. You leaf through the photographs, touching them and remembering the moments in your life which mean a lot to you.
The feeling of holding those photos and going through them - sheet after sheet, album after album - can never be compared to swiping through the same pictures on the computer or your phone.
The printed photographs have an emotional attachment associated with them. You will find your grandmother clutching to the albums which store the treasures of her lifetime.
While going through them, she will - and you will - feel recollecting shared and fond memories.
It is quite possible that you might lose the data from your hard drive or your memory cards or get locked out of social media accounts.
Often, many of us don't even keep a back-up for our data. In such a case, we lose the memories which we had captured and stored; for them to never return.
If we keep the hardcopy of the photographs, such disasters can be avoided.
Recently, on my Aunt’s & Uncle’s 25th wedding anniversary, I gifted them a short selection of wedding photos put together as a coffee table book.
The photos on our computers and smartphone could never have brought that smile on their face when they looked at that book.
They have put the album on their living room coffee table. And when they look at it every day, they are reminded of one of the most memorable days of their lives.
This is the beginning of a long journey as a married couple. The Wedding Album is the first thing you own together! This is a heirloom that you will cherish forever and can pass on to your children.
St Mary’s Church | Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club , DUBAI
On a beautiful winter morning in Dubai, we set out to capture the gorgeous couple - Nitya & Venu. We explored the streets of old Dubai (Bastakiya) and with the stark brown walls as a background, shot this colourful couple. This was a wonderful start to a wonderful couple’s wedding ceremonies.
Nitya & Venu were an absolute dream to work with! They are so in love and so down to earth, and their family and friends were just as kind and fun to be around! Our favourite part of the wedding was when Venu teared up looking at Nitya as she walked down the aisle. Call us silly but the entire 1Plus1 Studio team had tears in their eyes.
The St Mary’s Church was a sombre destination for the bringing together of two souls meant to be together. In the evening we headed to the absolutely stunning Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. Along the green lawns and with the blue waters behind us, this couple celebrated their wedding with family and friends.
Every single detail of this day was elegant and sophisticated. Honestly, these two are one of the kindest, carefree, and fun couples we’ve come to know and their wedding day reflected that!
We were delighted when we were asked to shoot Chryselle & Anoop’s wedding in January in Mumbai! They’re two fun loving doctors who found each other at work. We're glad because they are one gorgeous couple :)
Our favourite part of the wedding were the awesomely fun loving bridesmaids. They decided to get ready together for the wedding. There was a lot of leg pulling, a good dose of humour and a lot of nostalgia. They were all so into the celebration that during the reception, the bridesmaids entered the reception hall dancing and celebrating at the top of their lungs!
Everything about this wedding spoke about the elegance of the couple. The Couple Shoot by the Juhu Beach where Chryselle & Anoop walked hand in hand thinking about the journey ahead of them. The 3 tiered cake in the evening, Chryselle’s gown and the sombre St. Joseph's Church, Juhu. Everything created a sense of beauty and calm.
