A Beautiful Wedding at Amita Rasa , Bangalore That Blended Meaning with Magic
Priyanka and Aayush’s wedding at Amita Rasa, Nandi Hills was not just a celebration of love. It was a reflection of who they are: thoughtful, grounded, and full of heart.
Their story began years ago in Vizag, where they attended the same high school but hardly knew each other. Years later, life brought them together again in Chennai, where friendship turned into something deeper. What followed was a journey defined by shared curiosity, long conversations, and the quiet comfort of knowing you have found your person.
When it came time to plan their wedding, they wanted it to feel as intentional as their relationship. It had to be rooted in meaning, surrounded by nature, and designed with soul. The décor, designed by Nanditha, the bride’s sister, was one of the most stunning parts of the celebration. Every flower, color, and table setting carried her signature touch and attention to detail, turning Amita Rasa into something truly personal.
The Celebrations
The celebrations began with a bright and cheerful Haldi ceremony in the morning at Mulberry Shades, where sunlight and laughter filled the open courtyard. Family and friends came together for a shared ritual that symbolized unity, joy, and the start of something new.As evening arrived, the same venue transformed for the Mehendi, filled with music, colors, and the hum of conversation. Guests enjoyed lively activity carts, heartfelt moments, and the relaxed charm of an outdoor celebration surrounded by nature.
Wedding Setting: Amita Rasa
Nestled amidst hills and open skies, Amita Rasa was everything they wanted in a wedding venue.
The landscape felt calm and grounding, a perfect match for their vision of a serene outdoor celebration. Every element of the décor, from soft colors to handcrafted accents and floral textures, mirrored their love for minimalism and balance. The couple was deeply involved in shaping their ceremony. They replaced Kanyadaan with Kanya and Vara Sweekaranam, a ritual that represents the acceptance of both the bride and groom into each other’s families. Guests were given ceremony cards explaining each ritual, along with varamala sticks and bells to bless the couple. Every detail turned tradition into something beautifully inclusive.
The wedding ceremony itself was a visual and emotional masterpiece. Combining North and South Indian traditions, it reflected their diverse roots while keeping the essence of both. Each ritual was explained through their ceremony card so guests could connect with its meaning. From Priyanka being carried to the mandap by her uncles to the Jellakarra Bellam ritual , Aayush on nd the simultaneous Mangalsutra and Thalli ceremonies, every moment was filled with thought and emotion. The varmala sequence, choreographed with a custom mix of five songs, ended in a burst of Holi colors that painted the air with joy.
